Information We Collect
To run the marketplace we collect the details you give us when you sign up and use JADD: your name, email, mobile number, the listings and messages you post, and — if you choose to become a verified seller — the identity details you submit for verification. We also collect basic device and usage information, and the approximate location you attach to a listing so buyers can find items near them.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate JADD: to create and secure your account, to verify seller identity so the community can trust who they are dealing with, to show relevant local listings, to enable buyers and sellers to communicate, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to contact you about your account. We do not use your information for anything unrelated to running the service.
Identity Verification Data
Identity documents submitted for seller verification are used solely to confirm identity. Access is restricted to authorized review, the data is not sold or shared for marketing, and it is handled with care. Verification is optional and is intended to increase trust between users; you control whether you submit it.
When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data. Limited information is shared only where necessary: details shown on your public seller profile and listings are visible to other users; essential service providers (such as secure hosting and file storage) process data on our behalf; and we may disclose information where required by applicable law in the Sultanate of Oman or to protect the safety of our users.
Payments Happen Between Users
JADD does not process payments. Buyers and sellers arrange payment and delivery directly between themselves. We do not collect card or bank details and are not a party to any transaction, so we do not hold or transfer any funds.
Your Choices
You can review and update your profile information at any time, and you can request deletion of your account. For any privacy request or question, contact us using the details below and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and restricted access to sensitive data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so we encourage you to use a strong password and to transact safely.
Children
JADD is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
